A small crowd enjoyed excellent quality high-tide surf at Cable Bay courtesy of a broad Tasman Sea depression that dumped up to 40cm of rain in parts of the Nelson region, blocking many roads. I counted 10 out at Inner Cut on my way here. The flatness of summer is a distant memory for Nelson surfers.
