Playa Avellanas, situated along the northern coast of Costa Rica is a world-renowned destination for surfing. It offers easy and fast access to Playa Grande, Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta, Playa Negra and Junquillal making it a perfect surf camp vacation destination. Playa Avellanas stands out as one of the best surfing locations in Costa Rica with a half dozen or more surf spots; offering point breaks, beach breaks and reef breaks all year around, with predominant off shore winds during summer(La Purruja, El Beachbreak, Palo Seco, El Estero, Little Hawaii and Golfo Persico).
