Ventura County Surf Forecast map for predicting the best wave and wind conditions across the region. For surfers, the map shows the most powerful swell tracking across near-shore open water and not the peak waves experienced by boats out at sea. Move your mouse over the ocean swell symbols or the surf breaks on the coastline to see a more detailed surf forecast including wave period and wind conditions. The forecast updates every 6 hours and most live weather reports update every hour. You can animate the Ventura County Surf map or show live wind and wave conditions as reported from wavebuoys and local weather stations. Surf breaks shown along the Ventura County coastline are also listed below. Read More

Ventura County Surf Breaks

The Ventura County Coastline is a wide variety of awesome beach breaks, river mouths, long riding point breaks, rocky sholls, jetty surf and everything in between... You could say that it has it all here. Stretching from Santa Barbara in the North to Malibu in the South whatever style you have, rights and lefts Ventura has it. Winter is definitely the best around and tends to get a really good S swell. Rincon point at county line, surfers point in Ventura, Pierpont beach break, Powerplant Oxnard, Oxnard Shores and Hollywood beachbreaks, SilverStrand Beachbreak, secret Naval base breaks, Port Hueneme and all down the coast to Point Dume and Malibu at county line.....Joshua Stevens

Reef and rivermouth breaks are the best suitable spots for the best swells hitting in mid summer, late fall, and winter. Coves with seacliffs and promenades are most popular surf spots here.....Tony peres
