Doughmore Surf Guide

Doughmore in County Clare is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that has very consistent waves and works all around the year. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the northwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of strong rips and rocks.

“Excellent wave, great for bodyboarders and surfers alike. Most definitely not for groms. Often works when Lahinch or Spanish Point are blown out or at full tide”
