El Medano Surf Guide

El Medano in Tenerife is a reasonably exposed beach and reef break. Spring and Summer provide the favoured conditions. Offshore winds are from the west northwest and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the south southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers as well as a left hand reef break. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's sometimes crowded here. Watch out for rocks and locals.
