Encuentro in Amber Coast is an exposed reef break that has reliable surf. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the south. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the north northeast. Both right (best) and left reef breaks.. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for urchins, rips, rocks and sharks.
