Table - best surf conditions forecast for Praia de Camburi over the next 16 days.
Alright, surfers, Rusty here. Let's have a look at the next couple of weeks for Praia de Camburi.
It's a bit of a mixed bag to start, with a lot of onshore wind and junk in the water. The water temp is sitting at 75°, which is pretty much normal for this time of year, so no surprises there.
The first real chance to get wet looks like Friday morning, July 10th. The wind swings around to a light cross-offshore from the NNE, cleaning things right up. We've got a 4ft SSE groundswell rolling in with a long 14-second period, which will bring some proper shape and energy. The combined energy is moderate at 477. It's a sheltered spot, so the south swell isn't ideal, but if it's clean, it's worth a look. Expect it to be a bit of a wait between sets, but the paddle out should be easy. Crowds are a possibility here.
But the real standout is Saturday morning, July 11th. It's going to be glassy. Flat calm. The wind is from the south at just 3 mph, and it's listed as glass. The swell is similar to Friday – 4ft from the ESE with a 13-second period and moderate energy (456). This is your best window. Clean, lined-up waves for the taking. After that, the wind messes up the afternoon.
Sunday the 12th morning offers a clean option with a light cross-offshore breeze and a smaller 3ft swell (287 energy), but it's nothing special. The rest of the first week and into the second week is mostly a write-off with onshore winds, unless you're into choppy, blown-out surf. We get a couple of afternoons with clean offshore wind on the 15th, 16th, and 17th, but the swell is small and weak, dropping to 134 energy by the 17th, so it's barely worth paddling for.
Later on, Tuesday morning, July 22nd, shows some promise with glassy conditions again and a 4ft swell from the east (210 energy), but the period is short at 8 seconds, so the waves will be a bit crumbly and weak. Nothing to get excited about.
Honestly, for this stretch, grab the glassy Saturday morning, July 11th. That's the one. The rest is a whole lot of waiting.
Rusty.
