Table - best surf conditions forecast for Praia de Camburi over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's cookin' for Praia de Camburi over the next couple of weeks. Gotta be straight with you, the start of this outlook is pretty flat. We're looking at a real slow burn before anything worthwhile shows up.
The first few days are a write-off. The surf is just too messy with onshore and cross-onshore winds kicking up chop, so don't even bother paddling out from Tuesday through Thursday. The water temp is sitting at a pretty standard 75° for this time of year, nothing unusual there.
Alright, keep your eyes peeled for Friday, the 10th of July. That's our first real standout. We're expecting a clean, offshore breeze from the NNE all day, and the swell will be a long-period groundswell out of the ESE. The wave heights will be around 4ft, with a solid 14-second period pushing in a moderate wave energy (578). This is your window for some proper, lined-up waves. Just be aware that because it's a long-period groundswell, it might wall up a bit at this beach break, but with that offshore wind, it should still be fun.
After that little burst, the surf goes pretty quiet again. We get a few mornings of glassy or clean conditions around the 13th and 15th of July, but the swell drops right off to less than 3ft. You *could* get out for a soft one, but it's more of a longboard or finless situation.
Now, hold on to your boardies, because the real action is slated for Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd of July. This is another standout. The swell bumps up significantly. On Tuesday afternoon, we’re looking at 5ft from the SE with light offshore winds and a strong wave energy (674). Then Wednesday morning gets even better with a glassy, calm start, a 5ft swell from the ESE, and similar solid energy (661). This is the biggest, cleanest swell of the whole outlook. However, at over 5ft, this is pushing into intermediate territory and could be a handful for beginners. This spot is sheltered and fairly consistent, but don't expect many waves between these pulses.
So to sum it up: save your energy for Friday the 10th for a clean, long-period swell, and then absolutely mark your calendar for Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd for the best size and power of the whole period.
Stay stoked,
Rusty
