Hey crew, Rusty here. Let’s dig into what Praia de Camburi’s got cookin’.
We’re starting a little flat and funky. Monday the 6th is basically a no-go: 0.6m swell from the SSE with weak energy, and a cross-on breeze making a mess of things. Water temp sits at 24°, which is about average for this time of year.
Tuesday the 7th morning sees a clean-up with a light North wind, pushing 0.9m SSE swell with moderate energy (300), but it’s still described as very ordinary. The first real bright spot hits Friday the 10th. Morning goes dead calm – glassy – with a solid 1.1m SE groundswell at a long 14-second period and energy pumping at 476. This is the first true standout of the run. The glass makes paddling easy, and the swell direction matches the sheltered break perfectly. Expect crowds here.
That quality carries into Saturday the 11th, with the same size and 13-second period, cross-off winds keeping it clean, and energy at 463. But by Sunday the 12th the wind cranks and drops the quality.
Looking further out, Wednesday the 15th afternoon cleans up nicely with a 1.5m ESE swell and a light cross-off. The period is short at 7 seconds, so it’ll be a bit bumpy but super fun in the clean conditions. Energy reads a strong 453.
But the real one to save for is Tuesday the 21st. That morning is where it’s at: 5ft of SE groundswell at 11 seconds, energy a solid 569, and a gentle cross-off breeze. The afternoon gets bigger at 6ft, energy jumping to 806, but comes with a stiff 30 km/h offshore, which will groom the wave faces but make it a battle to get out. The morning window that Tuesday is the best on the whole forecast.
There are a few flat days between Saturday the 11th and Wednesday the 15th, but the waiting pays off. The standouts here are Friday the 10th morning, and Tuesday the 21st morning.
Rusty, out.
