Q, VoG from United Kingdom
“Puttsborough is at the south end of a very long west facing beach that can produce good rights and lefts of 50-100m. The waves are not quite of the same quality as those breaking at its more famous neighbour, Croyde, but it can on occasion produce quite hollow peaks. The big plus point is the total shelter it gets from southerly winds by a very long rocky peninsular (Baggy Point), often making it the best spot to visit as low pressures approach. Reputedly better at higher tide levels but I've seen some great waves here at all stages, although I've only been here 10-20 times so I may have been lucky and met some favourable banks.

The beach is at the end of a crazily narrow single track lane that is really not suited to the crowds of camper vans that head there when conditions are right. Get there early to avoid reversing blindly back into oncoming traffic around tight bends.”
