Sandy Bay in Cape Peninsula is a sheltered beach break that has quite consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the east southeast. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for sharks.

“Such a fun wave! Pretty heavy wave, doesn't often get big but has great rights and lefts. Sharks have been spotted but it's worth the risk for the fun, uncrowned wave!!”
