The Farm Surf Guide

The Farm on the South Coast is an exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds blow from the west northwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. Waves at the beach break both left and right It very rarely gets crowded here. Sharks may be a hazard at this break.

Jason Hopkins from Australia
“The Farm is a great beach to surf at for all abilities of surfer. It is surrounded by rolling hills which help to form a natural amphitheatre giving it a unique quality not easily replicated elsewhere. The southerly aspect of the beach allows the Farm to attract the predominate swell that frequents the coast when other beaches in the area are flat. Access is now easy as the road winds all the way to the western end of the beach. There are toilets, camping and nearby Mystics beach offers more waves if the swell is up. Situated in the Killalea State Park I'd say it has been made a national surfing reserve for good reason. 4/5 stars on a good day. Watch out for the crowds and locals though.”
