University on the Gold Coast is an exposed beach break that has pretty consitent surf. The surf tends to be optimum in the spring. Offshore winds blow from the north with some shelter here from west winds. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the south. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for rocks.
